About the Course
The Offshore Oil and Gas industry is very buoyant in all areas of the world, including South East Asia. In addition to the more traditional locations of operation there are new regions which are opening-up to Exploration and Production options. One such drive is the deepwater opportunities. Oil and Gas Exploration and Production anywhere requires the support of a number of different expertise and a wide range of Vessels supporting those activities at all stages of the Exploration and Development of Offshore Fields.
The aim of the course is to introduce interested parties to the full range of vessels used in a Field Development and Operation process. These vessels include:
- Exploration Vessels
- Drilling Vessels
- Transportation Vessels
- Construction and Installation of Floating Production Hosts
- Supply Vessels for Platform and Floating Hosts
- Specialist Field Support Vessels
- Export Vessels (Trading Tankers, Shuttle Tankers and LNG Carriers)
Details of the Vessel Design and Requirements will be provided with Examples. The Vessels functions will be illustrated by details of how each type is used in the Field Development activity.
