WORKSHOP HOSTED BY INTL FCSTONE

By invitation only, interested parties can apply to IBC Asia.
Please email: register@ibcasia.com.sg. IBC Asia reserves the rights to review, accept or reject applications.

Following the success of last year’s programme, INTL FCStone are back to do another pre-conference training session for invited delegates. We understand the coffee community has an advanced knowledge of derivatives so this year we will be focusing more on the ‘actual’ rather than the ‘theoretical’ using some of the many IT systems INTL FCStone now offers in order to make managing price risk in volatile markets a little easier.

Defining the current market environment

  • Global Coffee market review
  • Fundamental & external market drivers explored
  • Evaluating the impact of key external market price drivers

Building your risk management program

  • Building your risk management program
  • Defining your internal risk management policy
  • Defining your risk & risk appetite & defining your hedging tool kit
  • Building your internal risk management expertise

Case Study
In change to last year’s programme we will use a case study in order to be as ‘real world’ as possible, comparing the benefits of futures, options and structured products as a hedge against a particular market situation

Having decided upon which tool to use, we will examine how these ideas can actually be transacted in the electronic marketplace.

ICE Exchange
This year we  will be also joined by Toby Brandon, a senior member of the ICE management team, who will outline recent developments for the Robusta contract and any future plans.
